Steps 2021 Films such as Steps are often seen as cautionary tales of a reality which is unfortunately omnipresent in our society. I’m not trying to minimize the massive negative impact caused by these films. However, my opinion is that the intent is more than just an effect. In the final story, real or fictional there’s human elements that, when properly depicted, appears random. This randomness creates a sense of self-awareness for the audience that is too crucial to be ignored.
Stepsis an account of an individual who makes a decision. He makes a mistake and has to go back to a couple of steps, but the decision is clear. It’s important to understand the reason he’s doing it. Human progress being depicted in a honest manner is not something we’re accustomed to seeing. Formulas are designed for ordinary men , who eventually become heroes for their entire society. In the stepsheroism is not a general trait. It’s a characteristic for those who dare to embrace forgiveness toward others and towards themselves.
Brian is an honest man and should be grateful for everything he’s got. A few days later, he is injured in a robbery. even though his recovery is a bit of a miracle He turns into an alcohol addict. A brutal incident with his partner who is pregnant sets off the spiral that he cannot escape from. He is a homeless alcoholic without any hope. Over a decade passes through and Brian cannot change.
But, a pastor notices more Brian. He accepts Brian to his church as a condition for his taking the care of a few tasks. Brian is clean and is able to find an opportunity. His life is now different. His new job places him in the middle of a difficult choice that will require the acceptance of forgiveness in his life. It’s not going to be easy for him.
Through the long and hard fight and emotional twirls comes chance to delve deeper into his past. It’s certainly worth it, but difficult, since the marks of the past won’t be simple to erase.
These are tales of human limits and the unexpected fight that occurs at the point of reaching these limits. It’s all you need is an ongoing study of social norms that won’t be changed due to crime becoming an insidious and well-known fact. The middle of the road is the man who works and those who are around him. Family and the importance of keeping your loved ones near and away from danger.
Forgiveness isn’t often seen as a necessity to development and tolerance. In Stepsyou will be a part of a bigger message that goes towards the extremes of the movie. Maybe connection won’t be achieved however If Brian accomplished it why should you not? Morals are an integral part of the movie, but was not what I had hoped for. It was a relaxing film that I felt I needed.
Steps is an example of cinema that is realistic that , despite a basic story, is able to connect to the viewers through an emotional connection that never loses its luster. Excellent performances and interaction between characters that are based on chemistry work very well for the pace and never becomes boring despite running over two hours. Steps has a smidge to humor which I thought was significant. Maybe it was thoughtfully thought.
In order to make a film with this kind of quality, this requires you to be aware of your surroundings to be able to create a realistic background. Rob Morgan as Brian is a powerful force that creates a bond rarely experienced in cinema based on realism. The actor is fantastic on screen.
Even though Steps isn’t a true story it’s impossible not to sense that it is speaking direct to your heart. A fine film!
