The story revolves around three friends Abhilash, SK, and Guri who once were IAS aspirants but not only Abhilash got to be an IAS. He is not in connection with his friends for six years. The story takes place in the past and present simultaneously as it explores the making of UPSC aspirants in Old Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, and the present aftermath. A beautiful story of patience, perseverance, and passion encircling friendship, love, and life.
TVF Aspirants Review
The series have known faces of TVF in the leads- Shivankit Singh Parihar, Naveen Kasturia, and Abhilash Thapliyal as the three friends. A very beautifully scripted and directed series that will entice you with its authenticity from the very first scene. The charm of this show lies in the simplicity of the aspirants’ life that it explores. Characters are very real and have a good foundation in the story. Unlike many similar shows, it does not preach the glory of cracking UPSC and becoming an IAS officer but the real struggle of the process- hardships, failures, self-doubt, and the little motivation that they crave to survive.
With an IMDB rating of 9.7/10, only two episodes have released till now. There is no denying the fact that TVF brings one of the best inspirational contents on the Indian OTT platform. And they always succeed to satisfy. After continuous hits like Kota Factory and lockdown release, Panchayat, Aspirants is another show that is a must-watch, especially for the young student generation. Like Kota Factory showed the life of an IIT aspiring candidate, Aspirants depicts the struggles and life journey of a UPSC aspirant. So definitely a highly recommended TVF Original.
