Sonic the Hedgehog movie 2020 is neither a good adaptation of a video game nor a bad action comedy to watch. It is seemingly real in the virtual space. Sonic is on a mission to fight dr robotnik who tries to turn every creature in the planet into robots. Sonic the hedgehog movie 2020 starts with the first scene showing sonic enjoying his lavish life in the paradise island. His guardian, long claw the giant owl, reminds sonic to use his powers cautiously. The movie continues as sonic the hedgehog attempts to save the planet with his human companion
Review of the movie
From the reveal of Sonic the Hedgehog’s look, fans were skeptical of the CGI used on sonic’s character. Sonic has an adorable yet vicious face that it can play it off to the audience. So to depict the character sonic as it is in video games the makers of the film pushed back its release date.

Sonic is gifted with super-speed abilities to run after the bad guys, magical rings to settle on planet Earth. Later on we get to know that sonic has developed the fast-talking ability by spending 10 years in isolation, by hiding himself from town people and kept himself engaged by self-talking. Due to the energy shutdowns that were happening with the town’s power system, the government sends Dr. Robotnik for further instigating. Sonic teams up with the sheriff as they build their bond of friendship in the whole movie.

Anyhow, This Movie is a PG-13 movie specifically made for kids that tries to introduce sonic the hedgehog to the kids for the first time, which is why it makes no references to sonic video game world that he lives in. Sonic tries to catch up with trends as he attempts the floss dance for the second time in the movie.

The makers of have done a mistake by introducing Sonic into human’s real world. However the movie is a one-time watch and could be an entertaining film for kids. The success of sonic the hedgehog movie will depend on the age of audience it is appealing as well as the expectation they bring with them.
